Tebas proposes new kick off times for La Liga games next season

first_img “There will be football earlier on Saturday, probably at one in the afternoon. We believe it’s a good time.  This new time will not be fixed for every weekend of action, though. In principle, it will be for those weekends when games cannot be played on Fridays because of either international games or European competitions.  The president of the LFP, Javier Tebas, revealed on Cadena COPE that there will be La Liga games next season (2016-17) on Saturdays with a 13.00h CET kick off.  “The games on Mondays will be maintained, but Fridays will be open,” Tebas said on the show El Partido de las 12.  Upd. at 13:18 16/02/2016 CET Sport EN “It won’t be every week. It’s a day which all teams are able to play on, apart from those that play in the Europa League on Thursdays.”last_img read more
